The Nike Air Max 88 was released in a variety of colors and fabric combinations which have given it a contemporary flavor. When it was first released in 1988, this version has been in high demand to find. All of the retros in 1992 were leather, but Nike went back to its roots when it brought our the Nike Air Max 1 again in nylon versions in 1995. The Nike air max 88 has been released in more colors than any one collector has possessed. The Nike Air Max 1 is commonly used for limited releases such as for the opening of the store Atmos, Kid Robot, and there was a special one made for an Amsterdam only release.
